At Springhill, everyone is encouraged to continue living life to the full. Even with an awareness of limitations residents are encouraged to enjoy the benefits of our lifestyle support team, who work alongside our care and support staff enabling residents to enjoy a range of activities.
Many people enjoy gathering for a coffee morning, exploring the morning papers and having a chat while others enjoy playing games, arts and crafts, pottery, plants and gardening. The lifestyle support team offers opportunities for music appreciation, aromatherapy and other gentle therapeutic benefits which have positive benefits.
Springhill recognises that access to high quality, therapeutic outside spaces is important, with nature widely considered to have a positive effect for people. A sensory garden has been developed which includes ‘Boris the Morris’ a classic Morris Minor car, designed to encourage people with dementia to stimulate positive memories.
Our professional, courteous and well trained staff are genuinely at the heart of delivering this first class care service. We also provide a full range of holistic services for residents to choose from as they wish. These include menu choices, hairdressing service, traditional tea room and visiting professionals including chiropodists, dentists and opticians.
