Springhill Care Group holds a number of industry accreditations and in recent years has been recognised for the quality of its services with a host of top awards.
Staff across the group’s services and homes have received a number of industry honours and most recently Springhill Care Home’s own Robin Eddleston was named the National Dementia Carer of the Year Award in the Great British Care Awards.
Robin had last year won the regional award, during which Affinity Supporting People also won the regional Care Team of the Year prize and Jan Wilkinson, general manager of Riversway Nursing Home in Bristol, won the South West Registered Manager of the Year title.
The Springhill Care Group was named Service Business of the Year at the 2013 BIBAs (Be inspired Business Awards), with judges praising the group for its “focus on delivering high quality care and putting people first.”
The Group was also named 2014 winners in the North West’s BIBA (Be Inspired Business Awards)’s Service Business of the Year and Excellence in Customer Service categories.
The dementia care team at Springhill Care Home are proud finalists of the 15th National Care Awards 2013 in the Care Team category.
Springhill Care Home provides services that in 2010 were awarded with coveted ‘Beacon’ status from the prestigious NHS backed ‘Gold Standards Framework’ (GSF) and was only one of 29 care homes in the country with this accolade.
In 2011 Springhill Care’s Chairman, Ken Nolan won The Great British Care Awards National Care Employer of the Year award. Judges praised Springhill for its passion for a personalised service. Ken became a finalist after winning the regional awards in 2010.
In 2012, Ken was a regional finalist for the Great British Care Awards ‘Outstanding Contribution’ category for the North West region and was a nominee in the social care national social care ‘Top 30’ which recognises real leadership and excellence in the social care sector.
At the 2014 Red Rose Awards, designed to celebrate Lancashire business, commerce and industry, Springhill Care Group won the Customer Service and Health and Care categories, and was shortlisted for Large Business of the Year. Affinity Support People, the group’s supported living service, was shortlisted for the Not For Profit Business of the Year.
