Staff at Springhill Care Group are being given the chance submit their ‘golden moments’ to be entered into an exciting new wellbeing initiative.
As part of the Oomph! Wellness support programme Springhill Care are pleased to have launched this initiative to encourage and share great moments within the care home environment.
The first winners drawn were: Emma (Birch Green Care Home, Skelmersdale), Shannon (Riversway Nursing Home, Bristol) and Neelum & Ruslana (Springhill Care Home, Accrington).
Donna Briggs, Managing Director of the care group, said: “Golden Tickets showcase really special moments that our teams share with residents, which might otherwise not be truly celebrated or recorded, this will help to ensure we capture these special moments and to help acknowledge and praise our staff team.”
The scheme launched in November and staff are being reminded of how they can nominate.
Donna added: “Take note of a golden moment that you have had with a resident or if you have seen a colleague have a golden moment take note and write it on the golden ticket. Put your ticket into the golden post box – all golden moments will be placed in a draw.”
The winner will be selected and given £150 and a certificate.
Matt Hamblin, Senior Business manager at Oomph! Wellness said: "The Golden ticket initiative is a fantastic way to showcase those meaningful interactions that happen in the care home every single day.
“These golden moments should be celebrated and shared with the families and friends of the residents, they are great examples of person-centred activities staff have shared with their loved ones.
“Springhill Care Group have really grasped this concept and made it their own! Congratulations to all the winners."
