Our residents at Springhill enjoyed an afternoon with some spooky animals for our Halloween Zoolabs special.
Some of us had a chance to hold and stroke the animals including giant land snails, millipede, snakes & rats.
It was an interactive session and went down well with the residents.
Most importantly animal therapy is a recognised therapy across the care sector and can boost the health and well-being of those who interact with them.
We also got to learn a lot about the creatures… Did you know the difference between a male and female millipede is that females have one less pair of legs… although we wouldn't like to count!
