Last week residents took a trip to Ashton-under-lyne, Tameside, to visit the Portland Basin Museum with Oomph! Wellness Out and About service.
Walking through a bygone town in Tameside, residents were transported back to the 1920s where the sights and sounds of the area were brought to life.
As everyone walked through each exhibition, they agreed it was fascinating and they all enjoyed taking a look in a 1920's kitchen and learning about the local area’s industrial heritage.
After learning about the history of Tameside on the trip, it lead to many discussions on the way home, comparing the 1920s to the current today.
The Oomph! Wellness trips are a highlight in the Springhill events calendar and we can’t wait to find out where the next trip will take us.
