Last week, residents and staff from Springhill Care Home set sail for a trip around the world.
Each day our ladies and gentlemen discovered different countries and cultures while taking part in cruise-like activities.
Day one
On Monday everyone laid back to relax on the stargazing deck where they learned all about astronomy whilst viewing the virtual stars.
Day two
Residents were invited to join in happy hour which had them taste testing some of the best fruity cocktails and mocktails on board the ship.
The cocktails and mocktails trolley made its way around each floor for everyone to enjoy.
Day three
Every great cruise ship has its very own luxury spa and this one was no exception.
The Serenity Decks Spa took bookings from 2pm on Wednesday and residents received special treatments from manicures to gentle footmassages.
Day four
Each resident was given a special invitation to join the captain (AKA Curtis, General Manager) at an exclusive tea party in our Oakhill Lounge.
An array of delicious cakes was served along with a pot of Springhill’s finest tea which was shared by all.
Day five
As the cruise came to an end, residents joined a cruise party with signer Dale who was on hand to provide entertainment all afternoon.
Dale sang a range of Springhill favourites to get everyone dancing and singing along.
