Local charity group the Bahja Initiative visited for an amazing afternoon bringing bundles of goodies for our residents and staff to enjoy.
The Charter Street, Accrington, organisation, spent time chatting and visiting everyone in their rooms who were unable to attend. They also wrote Christmas cards for the residents as well.
The visit was arranged by Jamal Clarke, whose mum had stayed with us earlier this year for a short period for respite. Jamal was keen to give back to Springhill for the care his mum received while she was with us.
She and her husband also wrote us a lovely Christmas card wishing everyone well and a Happy New Year.

The charity organise all sorts of events for the local community and the ‘feed the needy’ initiative which presents people with food parcels and feeds the homeless.
We are looking to making the afternoon a monthly event in the new year.
