Residents at Springhill Care Home in Accrington got hands-on with a number of animals recently in a special activity.
The home was visited by a team from Zoolab, the specialists in animal handling experiences, who brought along animals including a corn snake, tarantula, giant African snail, hissing cockroaches, rats, and an Australian tree frog.
Residents were encouraged to touch the animals and ask questions about them, and we also had a few extra special guests – relatives and children of staff members who were invited to come and learn about the animals too.
